Noble Audio. If you don’t know the name, that’s fair. But if you chase sound quality, you probably respect it. They’ve been churning out premium cans and earbuds for ages. High end. High price. Now they’re reaching a bit lower.

Enter the Osprey.

Preorders start this Thursday. $199. Shipping late June. That is a steep drop from the $320 price tag on their Fokus Amadeus, the very pair I called out as my “top audiophile” pick for best-sounding wireless earbubs a couple of years ago.

Haven’t worn the Osprey yet. Can’t vouch for them personally, not right now. But I know what Noble looks like. These have that signature marbled faceplate. Aluminum charging case to match. It looks expensive, even at the lower tier.

Size is the first tradeoff. They run large. You need the space for the hardware. The Osprey packs two drivers into one housing. A 10mm dynamic one. Paired with a custom balanced armature. It’s the classic high-end stack.

“Confident, controlled bass… clean, extended highs with excellent separation.”

Noble claims this setup delivers exactly that. A natural midrange too. They include multiple ear tip options to get a seal. Which matters. You can’t have sound without isolation, really.

Now. Let’s talk about the caveats.

Yes, they have Active Noise Canceling (ANC). No, it probably won’t be top-tier. Audiophile gear often sacrifices ANC strength for audio fidelity. The Fokus Amadeus doesn’t cancel the world very loudly, for instance. It prioritizes the music over silence.

Battery life? Adequate. Don’t expect a marathon. You’re looking at 5 hours max with noise canceling on. 7 hours if you leave it off. That’s… okay. Not great. Not terrible.

I’m waiting for a review sample. When I get it, I’ll tell you how they actually sit in your ear and how that dual-driver setup holds up in the real world.

Until then, just know what you’re getting. Specs follow.
