Lenovo showcased a new wave of high-end laptops and tablets at Mobile World Congress 2026, targeting both creatives and gamers with the latest in AI-powered technology. The lineup includes concept devices like the Yoga Book Pro 3D, alongside refreshed models in the Yoga and Legion series. While some features are truly innovative, pricing remains a barrier for many potential buyers.

The Yoga Book Pro 3D: 2D to 3D with AI

The most ambitious product is the Yoga Book Pro 3D, which attempts to bridge the gap between flat images and three-dimensional models using Lenovo’s AI software. The concept laptop features two screens: one for image editing and the other for real-time 3D rendering. Users can manipulate the generated models with hand gestures, exporting them directly into software like Blender.

However, the technology is still rough around the edges. The 3D effect is inconsistent, becoming distorted if the viewer isn’t positioned directly in front of the screen. The AI’s output currently produces overly symmetrical models, raising questions about its ability to replicate the nuance of human-created designs. While impressive, the concept’s real-world impact on professional 3D artists remains uncertain. The device is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 GPU.

Legion Gaming: Tablets and Laptops

Lenovo’s Legion gaming line received a significant upgrade with the Legion Tab Gen 5. This 8.8-inch tablet boasts a 3K display with a 165Hz refresh rate, powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, up to 16GB of RAM, and a 9,000mAh battery. It retains the dual USB-C port setup for simultaneous charging and peripheral connectivity. The Legion Tab Gen 5 will be available in May, starting at $849.

The Legion 7a Gen 11 also gets a new 15.3-inch model, promising high-performance gaming without a dedicated GPU thanks to integrated Radeon graphics in AMD Ryzen AI Max Plus series processors. Its lightweight aluminum chassis and OLED display make it a portable option for gamers, though it starts at $2,299.

Premium Yoga Lineup: High-End Features, High-End Prices

Lenovo’s premium Yoga series introduces the Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition Gen 11, featuring a 14-inch 2.8K OLED touchscreen with up to 1,100 nits of brightness and a companion Yoga Pen Gen 2. The laptop includes Canvas Mode, which inclines the display for improved drawing and writing. The high-end Yoga Pro 7a Gen 11 boasts up to 128GB of RAM, targeting “AI power users” with a price tag of $2,099.

The Yoga Pro 7a Gen 11 also includes a Force Pad peripheral for precise annotations and line manipulation. The 15-inch model will ship in August, costing $2,099. The Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition Gen 11 will be available in May, retailing at $1,949.

Overall, Lenovo’s MWC showcase demonstrates a commitment to pushing the boundaries of laptop and tablet technology. However, the high price points of many devices may limit their accessibility to a niche market of professionals and enthusiasts.
